Privacy policy

The closed-beta version, under legal review.

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Sell Your Face, LLC ("we", "us") runs sellyourface.co, where fans buy and sell concert tickets at face value. This policy says what we collect, why, who sees it, and when we delete it.

The short version. We collect what it takes to match a buyer with a seller and to keep the site honest. We never sell your information, show you ads, or use tracking or analytics tools. Other members see your first name, never your last name. Your phone number is shown to one person: the other side of a trade, once both of you have agreed to it.

1. What we collect

When you sign in

  • Your mobile number. You sign in with a code texted to it. It is checked by our sign-in provider and is how we know it is you.
  • Your first and last name. You type them the first time you sign in.

When you use the site

  • An email address, if you give one, so we can send you your own messages about requests, listings and trades. It is optional.
  • Your requests and listings: the show, kind of ticket, quantity, prices, section and seats if you give them, and any note you write for sellers.
  • Your trades: offers, accepts, confirms, back-outs, deadlines, and whether each side marked the trade complete.
  • Ratings and vouches: the stars and reason tags you give and get, who you vouch for and who vouches for you, invite links, and any strikes.
  • Reports: what you write when you report a problem, and what we decide.
  • Your settings: whether your name is hidden from other members' "in common" lines, and whether reminders are off.
  • Whether you arrived from a shared link, so we can count how many trades start that way.
  • A record of each message we send you and whether it was delivered. It never holds the message's address in its error notes.

Proof of purchase pictures

A new seller may send a picture of their order confirmation, or of the tickets in their ticket seller's app.

  • An AI service reads the picture. It reads the ticket seller, artist, venue, date, kind of ticket, quantity, section, row and seats, price per ticket, order total and currency, the name on the order, and the order number. It also says whether the picture looks like a resale receipt or looks edited. A resale receipt shows you have the tickets; we check your price against face value from other orders or the show's price range, never against what you paid on the resale site.
  • We use what it reads to decide whether your listing can go live, and to check that your price is at or under face value.
  • We keep the order number only as a coded copy (a hash), so the same order cannot prove two listings. We keep the rest of what was read, including the name on the order, until the picture is deleted.

Transfer pictures (when you pay through us)

A seller on the paid path uploads a picture of the ticket seller's screen showing the transfer was accepted.

Payment information (when you pay through us)

  • Buyers: your card is saved with Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. We keep Stripe's reference to your card, its brand and last 4 digits (so you can see "Visa ending 4242"), and a code Stripe gives us for the card (a fingerprint) so a buyer and seller on the same card are never matched.
  • Your ticketing email: the email on your Ticketmaster or AXS account, so the seller can transfer the tickets to you.
  • Sellers: when you are first paid, Stripe collects your identity and bank details to set up your payout account. Stripe keeps them; we keep only Stripe's reference to your account.
  • A record of each money movement (hold, taken, released, refund, payout) on each trade.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising or analytics tools, and no tracking across other sites.
  • The only cookies are the ones our sign-in provider sets to keep you signed in.
  • We do not ask for your location, contacts, or date of birth.

2. Who sees what

Who What they see
Anyone, signed out Shows, counts of requests and listings, prices, and a seller's record with no name: their star rating, number of trades, the year they joined, how many people vouch for them, and whether we checked their proof of purchase.
Signed-in members Your first name; your rating, number of trades and when you joined; up to 3 people you both know, by first name (unless they hid their name), and how many vouch for you. A seller who picks their own buyer reads buyers' notes and sees who asked for their tickets.
The other side of your trade Your verified phone number and first name, only once the buyer has accepted and the seller has confirmed.
The seller on a paid trade The buyer's first name and ticketing email, once the hold is placed.
Our operators (today, the founder) Your full name, your proof of purchase and transfer pictures (through links that expire within minutes), reports, and what the AI read.
Nobody else Your last name, email address, and card details are never shown to another member.

3. Who processes your information for us

We use these companies to run the site. Each gets only what its job needs.

Company What it does What it handles
Clerk Sign-in Your mobile number; sends your sign-in codes by text
Supabase Database and picture storage Everything above, stored in the US
Vercel Hosts the site Requests to the site, including your IP address, in its logs
Resend Sends our emails Your email address and the message
Stripe Cards, holds, payouts, seller identity checks Card and bank details, identity documents, amounts
Google (Gemini API) Reads proof of purchase pictures The picture, sent once per read
Ticketmaster (Discovery API) Show listings None of yours: we only ask it for shows

About the AI reader. We use Google's Gemini through its paid API. Under Google's terms for the paid API, Google does not use what we send to train its models.

We may share information if the law requires it, to protect members or the site, or with a buyer of the company. We never sell or rent your information, and never share it for anyone's marketing.

4. How long we keep it

What When it is deleted
Proof of purchase and transfer pictures 30 days after the show's doors open, by a scheduled job. A picture that never became part of a listing is deleted after 1 day.
What the AI read from a picture When the picture is deleted, all but the kind of ticket, section, price per ticket and the resale and edited flags is deleted, including the name on the order. Those few fields stay, with no name, to help tell what face value is for that show.
The coded copy of an order number Kept, so an order cannot be reused.
Your account, requests, listings, trades, ratings, vouches and message records Kept while your account exists.
Payment records Kept as long as tax and payment rules require.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Emails: stop them from the link in any of them, or remove your address.
  • Your name: hide it from other members' "in common" lines on the People tab.
  • Access, correction or deletion: contact us and we will answer within 30 days.
  • If we close your account for breaking the terms, we keep what we need to stop you opening another and to keep vouches and strikes accurate.

6. Text messages

  • What we text today: only your sign-in codes, sent when you ask for one.
  • What we will text once text alerts are on: messages about your own requests, listings and trades, such as "An offer for 2 GA, Billy Strings Nov 14. Accept by 6:10 PM." No marketing.
  • Consent: you agree to these texts when you sign in with your number and turn on text alerts. Consent is not a condition of buying anything.
  • How often: it depends on your activity; usually a few texts for each trade.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Stop or help: reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help.
  • Your number is never shared with or sold to anyone for their marketing. Mobile numbers and text consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
  • Texts come from (866) 293-3223.

7. Security

Pictures sit in a private store and open only through links that expire within minutes, for operators. Phone numbers and emails are left out of every page except the ones that need them. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account was misused.

8. Children

The site is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we close any account we learn belongs to someone under 18.

9. Changes

We will post changes here with a new date, and email members when a change affects how we use what they already gave us.
